As a key member of the leadership team, the controller will assume a strategic role in the overall management of the company. The controller will have primary day-to-day responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial-related activities of the company. This will include direct responsibility for ensuring that the organization has the people, processes, systems, controls, and reporting in place to support the business.
Collaborate with the leadership team to develop short-and long-term strategies and operating plans.
Monitor and direct the implementation of strategic business policies and procedures.
Develops business and cost reports, metrics, and key performance indicators to evaluate, interpret and provide critical information in support of operational decisions.
Implement organization-wide goal setting and monitor performance with tracking.
Establish and implement corrective measures as needed and provide detailed reporting
Develop and update budgets and forecasts.
Responsible for all aspects of inventory (valuation, verification, obsolescence) and works closely with operations to better manage standard costs, products, margins, work in progress aged balances, reserves, cycle counts, materials in transit, warranty projects, labor/overhead rates and other adjustments.
Manages working capital; proactive in accounts receivable initiatives and the assessment of collection risk.
Perform routine pricing analysis and profitability.
Monitor inventory levels.
Monitor cash balances and maintain cash forecasts.
Manage the accounting, payroll, human resources, information technology, and business systems
Manage relationships with key providers including legal, banking, insurance, audit and tax.
Works with operational groups to ensure accurate recording of inventory and production costs, including analysis of
burden rates, standard costs, managing bill of materials (BOMs), routers, etc.
Self Starter with exceptional organizational skills and the ability to work on multiple projects at any given time
Ability to create structure and definition in situations that are uncertain or ambiguous
Ability to adapt quickly to change and will champion the advancement of financial planning tools, systems, and controls that enhance management decision making

Cash flow projection modeling skills
BI and data visualization tools (i.e., Tableau, PowerBI, Qlik, etc.) expertise preferred but not required.
