Auto Tie Balers
Waste Equipment’s line of Auto-Tie Balers features our exclusive tying system.
Our Auto-Tie Horizontal Baler uses highly efficient gear twisters, which eliminates pigtails. This accounts for more than 10% reduction in wire consumption and related costs. The gear twisters and inserter needles are hydraulically driven and the wire is dispensed directly from our unique box holders. Hydraulic wire positioners precisely align the wires for pick-up by the inserter needles, making our model the most reliable on the market.
Our auto-tie balers are designed for high productivity and ease of use with advanced electronics, such as the Allen-Bradley MicroLogix 1500 PLC and Maestro® color touch-screen operator interface. From this interface, the operator can control a variety of baler functions such as auto and manual modes, bale settings, system pressure, bale length, and perform computerized diagnostics. The main panel box features IEC controls.

Things to keep in mind about baler size:
Large cardboard balers produce bales that are approximately twice the size of small to medium sized bales.
Small or medium cardboard balers produce bales that can weigh up to half or a quarter of bales produced by the larger sized cardboard bales.
The environmental footprint of a large cardboard baler is up to four times the size of a small or medium sized baler.
What to know before buying a cardboard baler:
Ensure your machine will be in a sturdy location that can withstand heavy duty usage.
Some of the largest factors to consider when renting or purchasing a baler is the space available and if you need a baler that compresses other recyclable material besides cardboard.
You should also consider the size of the baler to rent or purchase depending on space available and how much you intend to use it.
Before purchasing or renting a baler you should evaluate if the baler is compliant with safety regulations and what type of safety features it already has.
Before purchasing or renting a baler you should also look at how much maintenance the machine will need throughout the year. Fortunately, we offer preventative maintenance plans that are included if you rent a baler or compactor for us. Or we can be your preventative maintenance service provider if you are purchasing or already own a compactor or baler.
Additional information to consider:
Compactors and balers can be configured to fit in the ideal space for your company. However, the door size and side the door opens can vary depending on the model of the cardboard baler. Make sure to think about the feed width or door size is the best option and if the door flap should slide shut from bottom to top or if it should swing open from left to right. There are also various doors that can be on a compactor or baler, including a bell-crank lever, a hand wheel door lock, or a hydraulic lock.
If energy efficiency is one of your main priorities with one of these industrial compactors or balers, there are some that are advertised to quieter and more energy efficient
Additional supplies for your baler:
Wheeled container to collect waste for the baler. A self dumping hopper is a forklift attachment that can be utilized to transport and dump cardboard or other recyclable material into the compactor.
Bailing wire - Once the bale is compressed, you will need baling wire to hold it in place.
Pallet - Once the bale is ready to be ejected, move it on a pallet so it can be transported with a forklift or pallet truck.
