Hurricane Harvey Relief Honors

Posted On: Oct 1, 2018

Last week, our owners Charles Mancuso and Amanda Mancuso-Laird were honored to have been featured in an article by local paper The Eagle. The article discussed the work that Waste Equipment and it's owners did to aid in relief efforts after Hurricane Harvey.

The two received commendations from Governor Greg Abbott for their work. The article summarized their work with "Piles across vast neighborhoods had to be sorted and moved off, the state operating often with limited professional haul teams. With the assistance of the Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service and the Texas A&M Forest Service, Mancuso and Mancuso-Laird also instructed area leaders on the necessary task of burning vegetation debris, often resorting to these trench burns. Mancuso-Laird traveled back and forth between the coast and her home in College Station for a month following Harvey, while her father continued to make trips for the next five to six months".
